Moran Real Estate Properties is the real estate wing of Covey Co.
It was originally formed to own the real estate that the Corsicana Bedding factories occupied. When we sold our nationwide multivertical company we retained ownership of the buildings. Eventually, we did not want to be landlords and sold them.
Instead of sitting on the proceeds, we continue to sow those resources into commercial real estate opportunities, mostly real estate-oriented investment funds, but occasionally deploying into attractive private equity deals.
